MANILA -- The animated series "Superbook" is returning to Philippine TV and spokesperson Icko Gonzales assured that children will love the new CGI version of the well-loved cartoon from the '80s and '90s.
"Itong bagong Superbook, reimagined na siya so fresh take," Gonzales said. "Alam mo naman ang mga bata ngayon medyo high-tech na sila, so the new version ay CGI na. Parang kapareho na ng mga naglalabasang animated series ngayon so it's really fresh, iba na ang itsura niya."
"The really exciting thing about it is the people behind this ay mga Emmy award-winning creative people, producers at animators. Parang nag-make over siya para mag-fit sa mga kabataan ngayon," he added.
For the new version of "Superbook," viewers will be treated to more Bible stories and adventures.
Aside from watching the show, children are also encouraged to join the Batang Superbook Club through its website.
"Ang Batang Superbook, parang we are welcoming everybody lalo na ang lumaki doon. Ngayon ipapasa na nila sa anak nila," Gonzales said.
The new "Superbook" will debut on July 12 on ABS-CBN.
