MANILA - MTV Philippines VJ Kat Alano, or Katherine Anne Brown Alano, was born on July 9, 1985. She has an English mother and Filipino father. Her family lived in England during her early years before they moved to Hong Kong.

Alano flew to the Philippines where she began her career as a model for a popular clothing line. Her major break came in 2004 when she was declared one of the winners of Studio 23 VJ hunt. 

The 24-year-old actress-model also appeared in various films like “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo,” “All About Love” and “First Day High.”

Charles Jerome “Bam” Romana, the former housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 1, is also celebrating his birthday today.

Bam, who turned 19, is the younger brother of actress Dimples Romana. Bam was considered to be the most cheerful housemate. An ever optimist, this teenager revealed that one of his goals in life is to make at least one person laugh once a day.
