Why Vice Ganda-Daniel movie was postponed
MANILA – Vice Ganda revealed that his supposed movie with teen star Daniel Padilla had to be postponed because of their respective hectic schedules.
In an interview with entertainment site Pep, Vice Ganda said it is unfortunate that the project will not push through anytime soon, but he is still optimistic that it will materialize in the future.
So, some other time," he said.
Vice Ganda and Padilla were last seen in the comedy “Sisterakas,” which is among the highest grossing Filipino films of all time.
Now that their project has been pushed back, Vice Ganda said he will focus on the sequel of his hit movie “Praybeyt Benjamin.”
Kailangan ngayon na natin gawin ang sequel," he said.
Vice Ganda said he is looking forward to shooting the movie, where he will work with “Be Careful With My Heart” lead actor Richard Yap.
“Masaya. Nung tinanong ako sabi ko agad, 'Talaga, Richard Yap?' Para ibang putahe naman. Saka mahal ko kasi 'yun,” he said.
While he is sad that Derek Ramsay, his original co-star in the first “Praybeyt Benjamin,” will no longer be part of the sequel, Vice Ganda said he is excited to work with Yap for the first time.
“Pareho kami ng handler. Para kaming magkapatid noon. Bongga ang pelikukang ‘to for sure. Kaya makakaasa sila," he said.
The sequel of “Praybeyt Benjamin” is one of Star Cinema’s official entries to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival.
