Zsa Zsa's father mourns Dolphy's death in US
MANILA, Philippines – Carlos Padilla, the father of Zsa Zsa Padilla, is sad that he cannot make it back to the Philippines to pay his last respects to Comedy King Dolphy.
Padilla, however, admitted that he is mourning for Dolphy and that he follows the news about Dolphy through the coverage of ABS-CBN.
He also said he feels privileged to have worked with Doplhy in Sampaguita Pictures in the 1950s.
But what really brought him closer to the veteran comedian is Dolphy’s more than two-decade relationship with his daughter.
Padilla said he is happy for his daughter to have found someone like Doplhy.
Meanwhile, he also recalled the time when Dolphy and Zsa Zsa spent a long time together in Las Vegas.
-- from a report by Bev Llorente, ABS-CBN North America News Bureau
