TAPE's 'Eat Bulaga' gets Indonesian version
MANILA, Philippines -- "Eat Bulaga!" the country's longest-running noontime variety program produced by TAPE Inc., marked a new milestone with the premiere telecast of its first international edition.
The Indonesian version of "Eat Bulaga!" (EB) aired its pilot telecast on Monday, according to the Facebook page of Eat Bulaga!
The international franchise -- a first for the long-running game show -- was licensed by the production company behind EB, Television And Production Exponents Inc. (TAPE).
EB, a noontime show that previously aired on ABS-CBN from 1989-1995, is now home to a number of popular game segments, including "Juan for All, All for Juan," and "Pinoy Henyo."
In a footage courtesy of TAPE Inc., the Indonesian version of EB is seen to have adopted the same segments, and even has a near-identical studio set-up as the original Philppine counterpart.
Principally hosted by the trio of Tito (Sotto), Vic (Sotto) and Joey (de Leon), EB first started airing in 1979, and is now on its 33rd year in Philippine television.
