How Piolo deals with 'gay' insults online
MANILA - Piolo Pascual has 3 simple steps in dealing with online bashers who claim that he is gay -- delete, block, move on.
In an interview on "Tapatan ni Tunying" aired Thursday, the 37-year-old actor said that although he still finds the insults disrespectful, he now knows better than to let them get to him.
"For me, masakit kasi, sana kilala mo ako bago mo ako sabihan ng ganyan," he said.
"Pero ang [mas] importante sa akin, kilala ko sarili ko, kilala ako ng Diyos ko, kilala ako ng pamilya ko, kilala ako ng anak ko," he added.
Pascual, who gave up on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, said arguing on the internet, especially in social media, can be often pointless.
"Papatulan mo pero makikita mo rin na wala palang silbi ang paghahamon mo sa kanya. Waste of time," he said, adding that he chose to retain his Instagram account because of his love for photos.
"I like taking photos," he said.
Asked on how his 16-year-old son, Inigo, responds to the "gay" insults, he said: "Kilala niya ako eh."
"Naniniwala siya sa akin. Napipikon siya sa mga tao. Gusto niyang gumanti, lumaban, pero sabi ko it's not worth it," Pascual explained.
He also defended his decision to remain single since his controversial break-up with actress KC Concepcion back in 2011, which further fanned unwanted speculations.
The "Hawak Kamay" lead star said that if he has the time, he would enter into a relationship again.
"Hindi naman ako pihikan. Kasi pwede naman. Kung gusto mo mayroon eh, ang dami naman diyan. Kaso ano ibibigay ko kung tulog ako?" he asked.
In the interview, Pascual also revealed what he is looking for in a future wife.
He prefers that his partner is in her 20s because he wants to have at least 4 more children.
