MANILA - Diether Ocampo, or Diether Pascual in real life, is one of the most sought-after actors in the country.

The “Only You” star is also known in show business as the actor with a big heart. On Saturday he threw an advance birthday party in San Fernando, Pampanga for the beneficiaries of his Kids Foundation. 

“Taon-taon yan, sine-celebrate ko iyong kaarawan ko [kasama ang mga bata]. Ganoon din ang mga kasamahan ko na nagtaguyod ng Kids Foundation,” he told “The Buzz.”

He added: “[This my way of] sharing my blessings to all these kids. Kasi marami din sigurong hindi nakakaalam, minsan naging bata din ako na nangarap. Galing din ako sa hirap.”

When asked about his birthday wish, he said: “Tulog. Bukod dito wala na akong mahihiling na iba pang materyal na bagay.”

Ocampo, or Diet to his friends, is now 33 years old.

Italian-Filipino Alessandra de Rossi is also celebrating her birthday today.

De Rossi is the younger sister of actress Assunta de Rossi. For a time, she was overshadowed by the success of her older sister in show business but she eventually proven herself as an actress.

Success came early in her career. When she was 16 years old, she bagged the best supporting actress prize at FAMAS awards for her role in Azucena. She also appeared in various critically acclaimed films such as Mga Munting Tinig and Homecoming. Her horror movie, The Maid, was a box-office hit not only in the country but in other Asian countries as well.

De Rossi recently moved back to ABS-CBN from a rival network. She is part of hit teleserye "Tayong Dalawa."  She is now 25 years old.
