Baron Geisler, Mylene Dizon are Best Actor, Best Actress in Cinemalaya 2008; 'Jay' is Best Film

She was a sure bet for Best Actress, after all. As many predicted during the Cinemalaya 2008 film festival run, actress Mylene Dizon's searingly beautiful performance in the film '100'--as a woman who accomplishes a to-do list of 100 things before she dies--got the jurors' nod for Best Actress. Controversial actor Baron Geisler won Best Actor for his performance as a gay television reporter in the quirky drama, "Jay".
"100" won other awards as well, including Best Director for Chris Martinez and Best Supporting Actress for Eugene Domingo; and the Audience Choice Award.
