MANILA, Philippines - Young actress Kim Chiu strongly denied dating young actor Enchong Dee, clarifying that the latter was not courting her.

Rumors surfaced that Dee was courting Chiu and the two were seen on a date.

"Hindi totoo, hindi naman niya ako niyayang mag-date. Magkaibigan kami nina Enchong, kasama siya minsan kapag lumalabas kami nina Melissa (Ricks) and ayun... hanggang doon lang naman ‘yon," she spelled out in “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.”

When asked why the relationship never prospered from friendly and group dates, Chiu was quick to say, "Huwag na baka magalit si Erich (Gonzales)."

"Magkaibigan kami [ni Enchong] at hanggang doon muna lahat ng bagay," she added.

The actress also answered that she is unaware of any budding relationship between long-time on-screen partner Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo.

"Hindi ko po alam... Kaibigan naman namin si Bea ang magkasama kami noong nag-Heartthrobs tour kami. Close naman namin siya," she said.

Chiu added that she will support Anderson in what would make him happy, even if means a relationship with Alonzo.

"Kung saan sila masaya, suportahan ko. (laughs) Hindi ko kasi alam kung totoo yon or ano man pero close sila and bahala na sila," she commented.

Chiu could not confirm if mother network ABS-CBN has a new show for her and Anderson after primetime opera series "Kung Tayo'y Magkakalayo" ended last month.

"Hindi ko po alam basta tatapusin po muna ‘yong mga out of the country shows kasi buwan-buwan hanggang October meron kaming labas for two weeks so tatapusin muna ‘yon," she explained.

Despite being linked to different personalities, Chiu admitted that she remains in contact with Anderson. "Nagkakasama kami sa out of town shows, out of the country shows, mga commercials," Chiu said.

The actress remains unsure if they will be paired with different stars in future shows.

"Hindi ko pa po alam pero open naman po kami sa ganoon. Syempre trabaho din namin ‘yon so sana suportahan pa rin kami ng mga fans kahit kung ano man ang project namin," she said.

Chiu's next project will be with comedy queen Ai Ai delas Alas in weekly mini-series "Your Song" titled "Maling Akala."
