MANILA, Philippines – Regal Films’ Lily Monteverde has distanced herself from Kris Aquino and James Yap’s marital troubles.

Monteverde, who is a close friend of the high-profile couple, said she doesn’t want to interfere in their problems.

“Hindi naman ako nagpapayo. I think she knows best.... Well, there’s nothing wrong for me to say this, I just say that, ‘You just trust in God and then, you know, prayers can move mountains,’" the 71-year-old film producer said.

Yap, one of the star players of B-Meg Derby Ace, has reportedly sought Monteverde’s advice in connection with the controversy.

Monteverde’s son, Dondon, is Yap’s manager.

Meanwhile, even without Yap, Aquino is enjoying her United States vacation with his sons, talk show host and close friend Boy Abunda shares in “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon.”

According to Abunda, he received a text message from Aquino narrating that the family would visit Animal Kingdom.

"Animal Kingdom, Ang init-init daw, it’s even hotter than the time we campaigned in Cebu because it was a really hot summer," Abunda said.

The host and talent manager also narrated that Baby James, Aquino's son with Yap, is already suited for the "big kids rides" because of his height.

"Si Baby James ang tangkad tangkad na daw, doon na siya sa big kid rides, roller coasters. Josh is having fun, Kris is having fun. Fun, fun, fun, fun," Abunda shared.

"Have fun and mag-enjoy ka lamang," he advised.

Aquino left with her children for a 3-week vacation in Orlando, Florida after announcing her impending separation from Yap.

She earlier announced that she would return in time for the death anniversary of her mother, former president Corazon Aquino, on August 1.

Once she returned, Aquino will be dealing with her lawyers to sign some papers in a petition to end her 5-year marriage with Yap. –With a report from Ginger Conejero, ABS-CBN News
