MANILA, Philippines - Matinee idol Enchong Dee clarified that co-star Erich Gonzales is not getting in between his personal affairs with actress Kim Chiu.

Dee was reportedly seen on a date with Chiu but the latter vehemently denied the incident.

"Hindi totoo. Hindi naman niya ako niyayang mag-date. Magkaibigan kami nina Enchong. Kasama siya minsan kapag lumalabas kami nina Melissa (Ricks) and ayun... hanggang doon lang naman ‘yon," she explained on SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon on Tuesday.

The actress was also caught saying, "Huwag na. Baka magalit si Erich (Gonzales)" when asked on the possibility of having a romantic  relationship with Dee.

Gonzales is currently Dee's love interest in the prime-time series Magkaribal. The two will also do a movie for Star Cinema entitled Sa 'Yo Lamang.

When asked if the primary reason why he can't court Chiu was because of Gonzales, Dee was quick to deny the rumor.

"Hindi ako mahihiya especially sa kanya kasi wala naman akong dapat ikahiya for now," he told SNN briefly. --With reports from Showbiz News Ngayon
