MANILA, Philippines -- Actress Jodi Sta. Maria, who faced controversies about her personal life before her show "Be Careful With My Heart" began airing, is now optimistic that everything will be fine with her.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Monday night during a thanksgiving party for the morning romantic-comedy series, Sta. Maria admitted that her character Maya taught her how to be strong.
"Ako din mismo natututo ako kay Maya na kahit may unos na dumarating sa buhay natin basta maging positive ka lang, kumbaga matatapos at matatapos din 'yan. Basta tuloy ang buhay," she said.
Right now, Sta. Maria and her newest leading man Richard Yap are just happy over the success of "Be Careful With My Heart."
"Sabi nga namin basta maka-two digit kami masaya na kami but we weren't expecting naman na 'yung two digits na yon ay 23.4% so 'yun sobrang happy kami," Sta. Maria said.
"We just want to give good entertainment to audience and we hope that we are doing it right," Chen added.
With the show's success, viewers are now calling Sta. Maria the "Queen of Primetanghali" and Yap as "Papa ng Bayan."
"Maraming salamat, 'yun lang. Pero ayaw kong magpa-pressure sa title, kailangan ko pa ding gawin ang dapat kong gawin," Sta. Maria said.
"Like I said it's just a title I don't really think about it because we are here to entertain to do our job," Yap said.
"Be Careful With My Heart" air weekdays before "It's Showtime."
