MANILA, Philippines - As Sarah Geronimo turned a year older today, July 25, can people finally expect her to be more independent just like what she embodies in her commercials?

“I-set aside natin ‘yonng love life. Kasi napakagaling na teacher mga pangyayari sa buhay [ko] so ‘wag na lang muna natin ipilit ‘yong love life. Siguro yung freedom na lang kung papano ko dalhin yung sarili ko pati in terms of decision making, gusto ko matutunan ‘yon,” she began.

But aside from her wish to become independent, Geronimo revealed that she plans to buy a Grandia so that she would be more comfortable whenever she travels for her out-of-town shows.

“Sana makabili na kami kaya lang ang dami pang inaasikaso ni Mommy. Tsaka lahat naman kasi ng dumadating sa buhay ko, mapa-project or material na bagay, regalo na sa akin. Yung hiling ko na bakasyon nangyari naman na siya noong nagpunta kami sa States for the concert tour. Nakapagpahinga ako for one week. Anong ginawa ko? Natulog,” she exclaimed with a laugh.

Incidentally, her rumored ex-boyfriend Rayver Cruz also celebrated his birthday last July 20, but she refused to give any comments about it.

“Huwag na tayong mag-usap ng ganyan, tama na ‘yan,” she reiterated.

As a matter of fact, she preferred to think about her new inspiration, Edward Cullen, the lead character in "Eclipse" played by Robert Pattinson.

“Mas masarap ma-in love sa fictional na character. Na-in love ako sa character niya sa book kasi iba siya magmahal at tapat siya kay Bella,” said the pop star princess, who has repeatedly denied her supposed romantic involvement with Cruz. -Report by Rachelle Siazon, ABS-CBN.com
