MANILA -- Dancer Gabriel "Gab" Valenciano is looking at a March date next year for his wedding to blogger-host Tricia Centenera.
In an interview on Thursday for the repeat of his father Gary Valenciano's concert "Arise" this Saturday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Gab said the wedding will likely happen in Tagaytay.
"There are lot of details now, we are hoping to get married in Tagaytay hopefully by the end of March. Echo is going to by one of my groomsmen," said Gab, referring to "The Legal Wife" leading man Jericho Rosales.
Aside from Rosales, Gab said he will also ask veteran balladeer Martin Nievera to sing at the wedding.
Gab, who is looking to kick-start an international, doesn't think marriage will have a negative effect on his career.
He also stressed that "love goes before anything."
"Here I've noticed when you are married or you are taken, medyo nawawala ang interest. But it's not like that in the US -- married, single as long as you can produce quality work, whether it's acting, dancing, producing, kahit anong field, as long as you are professional and you know what you are doing and you deliver, you are accepted," he explained.
Gab said he is fortunate that his wife-to-be supports him in everything.
"Tricia is amazing. More than anybody that I've ever been with before, the reason why I marrying her is that she brings a certain feel into my life where I know I've already won, I've already achieved my dreams, I've already made it," Gab said.
Last May, Gab confirmed his engagement to Centenera via his official Instagram account.
Valenciano met Centenera three years ago on the set of the ABS-CBN Sunday variety show "ASAP."
