Maja confirms breakup with Matteo
MANILA, Philippines - Actress Maja Salvador finally admitted the end of her relationship with actor Matteo Guidicelli.
In an interview with ABS-CBN's morning show "KrisTV" on Friday, Salvador, who was cornered by the show's host Kris Aquino, confirmed that she's now back to being single.
"Single," Salvador simply said when asked of her status now.
But the actress was quick to add that she and Guidicelli are still friends.
"Kasi ano pa ba ang sasabihin ko, pero magkaibigan kami," Salvador said.
The actress said there's no third party involved in the breakup, but it was a mutual decision for them to concentrate on their respective jobs.
"Sobrang magkaibigan kami. Kasi wala namang third party, parang nag-decide lang kami na i-end muna ang relationship kasi may priorities kaming dapat unahin like siya yung career niya at pagiging triathlete niya siyempre yung oras mo sobrang mahahati sa lahat tapos ako din naman sa trabaho, yung taping namin so minsan mahirap yung hindi laging nagkikita hindi mabalance yung oras sa isa't isa," said Salvador.
It was last month when the issue about Salvador and Guidicelli's breakup surfaced as the actress started to post things about breakup and heartaches on her Twitter account.
One of Salvador’s posts read: “I don’t know why they call it heartbreak. It feels like every part of my body is broken too.”
This was followed by another emotional quote which said: “One of the hardest decisions you’ll ever face in life is choosing to walk away or try harder.”
Speculations of their breakup became stronger after Salvador posted yet another controversial quote as if hinting about a happy relationship that did not end well.
“One moment you think you mean the world to someone, and then before you know it, you’re all alone,” the quote said.
