Awarded actor-comedian Vic Sotto shared his happiness working with the country’s King of Comedy Dolphy for their first movie together entitled “Dobol Trobol”.

Sotto said that there were no dull moments while they were shooting the film.

“Masaya at hindi namin napansin na last shooting day na pala kami. Kasi kapag nasa shooting kami puro enjoy lang kami, tawanan,” Sotto said.

Sotto said that aside from being both comedians, he shares other similarities with Dolphy. He also acknowledges the veteran actor's great comedic talent.
 
‘Yun pareho kaming tahimik. Talaga namang dapat tanghaling hari ng comedy dahil nakakatawa naman talaga siya. Noong araw  pa kumukuha na ako ng pointers sa kanya,” he said.

The actor has already developed a good relationship with Dolphy. He said that he is also in favor of Dolphy being given the national artist award.

“He is the master of comedy," he said.

Sotto was vocal in his admiration for the veteran actor.

“Ako naman matagal na akong tagahanga ni Dolphy sa television at sa movie. At marami na akong pinayret sa style niya, sa roles, sa characters, karamihan doon na pirate ko na,” Sotto said.

Sotto also shared his wish for his idol.

“Wish ko para sa kanya ay mag-asawa na siya. Kapag natuloy na 'yon sasabayan ko na siya. Doble wedding na kami,” the actor said.

Dolphy who turned 80 July 25th now gives his fans a one of a kind treat– ‘Dobol Trobol’ with the Prince of Comedy Vic Sotto.
 
Reports say that it took 10 years to conceptualize the movie. The shooting is over and both actors are very thrilled with the outcome.
 
The movie is produced by RVQ, M-Zet and APT Films and will be the funniest and wackiest movie of the year.

The “Dobol Trobol” cast includes Wally, Riza Santos, and Carmi Martin, with the special appearance of Zsa Zsa  Padilla and Pia Guanio.

Sotto is confident in saying that people will watch the movie not only because of the stars in the cast but because it has a good story to tell.

“Kumpiyansa ako na magiging maganda ang resulta dahil ang ating manonood kapag binigyan mo ng magandang pelikula ay papanoorin naman nila,” Sotto said.
