Toni gears up for provincial tour
MANILA - Singer-actress Toni Gonzaga is now busy preparing for her upcoming tour dubbed "Toni Gonzaga...Level Up: The Provincial Tour."
In an interview during the press conference of her newest project, Gonzaga said the tour is her way of thanking all her supporters from different provinces.
"'Im just here to do my job, to perform and to give back to my supporters sa different provinces na sumuporta sa pelikula ko doon at album ko," Gonzaga said.
The singer plans to stage concerts in four major provinces and tourists spots including:
- Limketkai Atrium, Cagayan de Oro (August 21)
- La Salle Coliseum, Bacolod City (September 18)
- Holy Cross Gym, Davao City (October 16)
- Cebu Coliseum, Cebu City (October 30)
She will also do a concert in Manila on October 2.
Gonzaga said that compared to her previous shows where she opts to sing love songs, her upcoming concerts will feature crowd favorites and popular tunes like Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" to boost the concert's mass appeal.
"Malaki ang kaibahan, kasi [kapag] provinces ang pupuntahan, iba ang approach. Iba ang mga guest ko. Depende din sa demand ng tao at kung ano ang gusto nila. And also, 'yong mga production namin ay lume-level up din kami sa kung ano ang naririnig nating musika ngayon at kung ano ang latest trend ngayon, so it's really a funny concert," Gonzaga said.
Joining her concert are special guests Erik Santos, Rayver Cruz and Jericho Rosales.
After her provincial tour, Gonzaga is also considering doing a world concert tour sometime next year, if given the chance. She said this will most likely happen after ABS-CBN's newest season of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB), which she hosts.
"Possible 'yon pagkatapos ng PBB. So by next year kasi ang PBB, when it starts, it's going to be be until January. And alam ko, doon magpa-pasko at magne-New Year ang housemates. So if ever, doon," Gonzaga said.
Gonzaga is now shooting her latest comedy film with Ai-Ai delas Alas, Sam Milby and former President Joseph Estrada. She will also star in ABS-CBN's “Precious Hearts Romances: Ang Lalaking Nagmahal Sa Akin."
