Jon Santos to impersonate Charice
MANILA, Philippines – International singing sensation Charice is one of the newest “subjects” of stand-up comedian and impersonator Jon Santos.
Santos will hold a comedy show, dubbed "101 Jonjemons, the Pinoy Fower List," at Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan.
He will impersonate Charice along with President Aquino, Vice Ganda, Jake Cuenca, Robin Padilla, and Boy Abunda, among others.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Santos said his show will feature Filipinos who made the country proud. He added that it is also a celebration now that the country has a new leader.
He joked that he also wants to prove that he can still sell tickets even if it’s not “election season, Valentine's Day or Yuletide season.”
Santos is famous for impersonating political personalities like former Presidents Corazon "Cory" Aquino, Joseph "Erap" Estrada and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as well as former First Lady Imeda Marcos and Juan Flavier.
The impersonator's most famous subject is none other than Star for All Seasons and Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos.
Catch Santos's "101 Jonjemons, the Pinoy Fower List" on August 20 and 21 and September 16 and 17.
The one-man comedy show will be directed by Chari Arespacochaga and written by Santos's friends, Enrico Santos and Joel Mercado.
