MANILA, Philippines – Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay Jr. has reacted to actress-television host  Kris Aquino's filing of a petition seeking annulment of her 5-year marriage to cager James Yap. 

Binay, son of Vice-President Jejomar Binay, said Friday he supports Aquino’s decision to nullity her marriage to Yap. 

"Let's pray for her that she'll find the happiness that she truly deserves," he said. 

Binay, a widower, earlier said that he is not closing his doors to the possibility of finding a new love.

His wife, Kennely Ann, passed away in 2009 after giving birth to their youngest daughter. 

Aquino, meanwhile, had admitted in a tell-all interview with Boy Abunda that Binay has the qualities that she admired in a man. 

She also said that among the guys being romantically linked to her, Junjun “is the only one I've been communicating with."

"Nakilala ko siya when I was losing my mother. Nakilala niya ako when he was losing his wife. In the span of that one year, both our lives have changed so much," said Aquino.

Binay joined the president’s girlfriend, Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad, at the celebrity launch of Body Shop’s campaign against sex trafficking on Friday.  

Soledad was tight-lipped aboutn her ongoing romance with Aquino. 

She did not answer questions regarding the president, much to the dismay of reporters.
