Willie: I'm ready to negotiate with other networks
MANILA, Philippines – Former “Wowowee” host Willie Revillame revealed Friday that he is ready to negotiate with other television networks.
He told GMA-7 in an exclusive interview that he no longer considers himself part of ABS-CBN. Revillame's contract with the Kapamilya Network will expire on September 2011.
“Ngayon po, sa pagkakaalam ko, wala na ako sa poder ng (ABS-CBN),” he said. “Puwede na akong makipag-negotiate sa ibang channel. Putol na po ang aking kontrata sa Kapamilya Network.”
The controversial television personality continued to claim unfair treatment from the network.
He again alleged that ABS-CBN management pulled out from a reported initial agreement that would have resulted in his return to “Wowowee” on July 31.
“Inexpect po ng lahat na ako’y babalik (sa ‘Wowowee’). Humingi na ako ng patawad. Pumayag po akong ma-suspend ng three months kahit ‘di sinabing suspension. Wala po akong suweldo noon,” he said.
He added that he is willing to stage non-televised entertainment shows for his fans. “Gagawa ako ng paraan. 'Di kailangan nasa TV ako. World tour, kahit sa sarili kong pera, gagawin ko,” Revillame said.
His lawyer, Leonard de Vera, said he expects a legal battle over Revillame’s plan to move to another TV station.
Nothing new
In an official statement released immediately after the interview, ABS-CBN said Revillame did not say anything new.
“Nais naming ulitin ang aming nasabi na na rin na si Willie ay may pinirmahang kontrata hanggang September 2011. Nilabag ni Willie ang behavioral provisions ng naturang kontrata nang binantaan nito ang pamunuan ng ABS-CBN sa episode ng ‘Wowowee’ noong Mayo 4, 2010 at sinabing siya ay magbibitiw sa trabaho kapag hindi tinanggal ng pamunuan ang isa pang TV/radio personality ng network,” ABS-CBN said.
“Ang kanyang banta ay nagpakita ng kawalan ng respeto at pagiging arrogante. Ang ipinakita nyang hindi magandang asal ay hindi katanggap-tanggap sa mga Pilipino.”
The Kapamilya Network said Revillame breached his contract.
“Hindi sa kanya ang desisyon na mapawalang bisa ito. Sinumang lumabag sa kasunduan ay hindi maaring mag-dikta kung ito ay itutuloy o tatapusin. Ang kontrata ay isang kasunduan na dapat bigyan ng kaukulang respeto. Ano pa ang magiging halaga ng mga kontrata kung ito ay maaring tapusin anu mang oras naiisin?” the network said.
“Ang ABS-CBN ang naagrabyado dito kaya ito ang may karapatan na magdesisyon kung itutuloy ang kontrata o hindi,” it added.
ABS-CBN reiterated that it will not release television host Willie Revillame from his contract obligations with the company.
“Naniniwala ito na dapat pa ring gampanan ni Willie ang mga obligasyong nakasaad sa kontrata na magtatapos pa sa September 2011,” the company added.

ABS-CBN management: it is not about Willie anymore! He is gone!
Why did ABS-CBN management ger rid of Wowowee if they hated Willie so much for his arrogance? Keeping Wowowee will make Willie worthless? Now this is more than Willie, it is about legality of abuse of power or wrong labor practices. How come nobody who has good intention to protect future talents of ABS-CBN would stand up for this kind of treatment? Forget Willie, he gone! it is about their talents who are in jeopardy because of this chaos that some exectutives of ABS-CBN did. I hope some talents with courage and principle will stand up for this wrong treatment or wrong practices!

ABSCBN did a remarkable decision in kicking out Revillame. It was NOT a difficult judgement because the guy is just a TULDOK lang sa businesses of Mr. Lopez. The TV channel may have LOST ratings(kong totoo) but GAIN respect from people who value filipino traditions, particularly,humility. Revillame can go to other channels,have a few month or years of good time,but, believe me, he will be back to the situation he is right now.His lawyers is just a waste of money because what they are fighting now is just a temporary medicine for his absence in TV.He is a sick guy and the ONLY way for him to maintain a good show to last, is for him to consult a Psychiatrist....not lawyers or managers of other TV stations.ABSCBN did not care about ratings, the station cares about filipino traditions.
TIME TO MOVE ON
With regards to a new contract signed by Willie Revillame and TV5(Kapatid Network) although neither confirm nor deny. Of course both parties will keep mum/silent about it for now as not to preempt. They are just waiting for the right time to formally announce it. Good luck Wil/Papi on your coming new show at new network.

Let's face the truth ABSCBN and I'm specifically want to talk to those handful in the management who contributed in Axing " Wowowee " the number one noontime show. You guys should be ashamed of yourself. If you still have any dignity left I would quit. What has Willie done to you to be hated so much? Was it because of the money? Fame ? Wealth? or Status in the entertainment industry? maybe that's why you were out to get him and bring him down. Just because he spoke from the heart and got carried away with his emotions. Fine! Management should have Fine or suspend him but to cancel out the show what a freaking Big Let Down.
ABSCBN cave in on a handful of Willie's hater and bunch of Dumb EXECUTIVES. What now? After this blunder moved all who had a hand on this should Immediately be Fired.

I really think its time for ABS-CBN Management to let Willie Go. Lalo nyo kasi pinalalaki ang ulo nya, feeling nya napaka-importanteng tao nya at hinding hindi nyo siya mabitiwan. You are showing a wrong attitude. You must show him that your network will do a LOT better without Him. You shouldn't show him that he is a big lost in your network. You made him, not the other way around. He is nothing without ABS-CBN. Contract is Contract but anong saysay nito kung kredibilidad naman ng network at ng buong kompanya mo ang nkakasalalay., Isa na siyang malaking kasiraan sa network nyo. You must move on and LET HIM GO!!!!

I beleive ABS is pretty scared about Willie because he is a money maker.
Honestly we have cut our ABS subscription. I'm not a crazy Willie fan but the guy is a very good host.

SOME EXECUTIVES FROM ABS-CBN PLEASE WAKE UP!
If ABS-CBN executives think that they can hold Filipinos hostage because of their TFC, please think twice! Many hardworking Filipinos pays between 500 pesos to 1,000 pesos depending where you are in the globe, makes ABS-CBN billionaire and their cronies since TFC is around. Management is aware that many of their talents will leave if they can afford it financially instead they bait them to sign contract when they feel that these talents are ready to leave or when contracts expires. Usually ABS-CBN will pull this trick or tactic the last minute or so. Of course they will sign, they have family to support. Institution like ABS-CBN will stay forever as management claims but they can get rid of their talents either by given them bad projects, bad roles and bad pay or even idle them for long time before reinstating them for a new project. See what they did to Wowowee, led them to believe that the show will go on. But a day or so before Willie is coming back, Mr. Osario decided to cancel it due personal interest and maybe to get back to Wowowee personnel or hosts. Somebody who is fair needs to look into this so that this abuse of power or wrong labor practices will not happen again to other talents of ABS-CBN or their representatives. I hope ABS-CBN will do the right thing!
