Dingdong, Marian to wed in December
MANILA - Celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera have decided on a wedding date.
In an exclusive on GMA's "Startalk" aired Saturday, the two confirmed they will exchange vows on December 30 at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Cubao.
Other details of the wedding have yet to be ironed out but the couple confirmed that Batangas Governor Vilma Santos will be one of the principal sponsors.
The actress also revealed that the actual proposal happened in Macau, a week before the televised one which aired on her live show "Marian."
Asked to compare both proposals, she said: "Hindi ko pwede ikumpara kasi 'yun yung unang araw na nag-propose siya sa akin.
So parehas importante," she said.
Rivera added that she was not expecting Dantes to get down on his knee again during the live program, saying the plan was to only announce the engagement.
Dantes said the reason he proposed a second time is that he wanted to "do things right."
"Mas naging maganda siya for us dahil present 'yung family niya, and at the same time, presenting lahat ng mga tao na naging parte ng love story namin," he added.
Dantes and Marian first worked together on the show "Marimar."
