MANILA - Actress Carmina Villaroel, or Maria Carmina Muñiz Villaroel in real life, turned 34 today, August 17.

Villaroel, a television host and model, started her career in show business in the early 80s. She was then introduced as one of the “Regal babies.”

She made several movies produced by Regal Films before moving to Viva Films in mid-1990s. While a contract star of Viva, she was paired with former husband Rustom Padilla, who is now known as Bebe Gandanghari, in several movies.

Villaroel is now married to former matinee idol, actor and now director Zoren Legaspi. Villaroel gave birth to twins Maverick and Cassandra in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Currently, Villaroel is one of the co-hosts of morning show "Sis" with the De Belen sisters -- Janice and Gelli.
