Tulfo says Claudine is 'down and out'
MANILA, Philippines -- One of the Tulfo brothers did not mince his words while commenting on the supposed network transfer of actress Claudine Barretto, with whom they have a bitter feud.

Early this week, Barretto was reported to be filming an episode of a drama anthology that airs on TV5, where journalist Raffy Tulfo and his brothers Ben and Erwin anchor a news program.
Barretto's involvement in the project, which was later confirmed by officials of TV5, fueled speculations that the former Kapamilya actress, and subsequently a GMA-7 contract artist, is set to become a talent of the No. 3 network.
"What happened was that Claudine, after she was rejected by GMA-7 and ABS-CBN, had nowhere to go," Raffy was quoted as saying on his radio program by the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Barretto's contract with GMA-7 expired in 2011 after being its exclusive talent for two years. Before her transfer to Channel 7, where she appeared in a number of series and a self-titled drama anthology, the actress was a contract artist of ABS-CBN for 17 years.
In July, reports surfaced that Barretto sought to open communication lines anew with Star Magic, ABS-CBN's talent management firm. In the same month, the actress greeted Star Magic in a taped message for its 20th anniversary.
"My seat might have left your door, but my heart's forever and will always be with you," she said at the time.
A source of the Inquirer denied speculations that Barretto will be "rejoining" ABS-CBN, but confirmed that the actress had "sent feelers."
'Down and out'
"She's down and out," Raffy said of the veteran actress. "Now, Perci Intalan wants to give her a career lift so he went to Vic del Rosario (Barretto's current manager)."
Perci Intalan, TV5's head of creative and entertainment production, has said that while Barretto will indeed make an appearance in one of the network's shows, "there are no talks about future projects yet."
Raffy's comment on the recent developments in Barretto's career comes after his brothers' legal feud with the actress and her husband Raymart Santiago.
The controversial spat started when Santiago's party and Raffy's brother Mon figured in a brawl at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in May.
Following the publicized fist fight, Raffy, Ben and Erwin, threatened the Santiago couple during a live broadcast of their news program aired on TV5.
