MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) - Controversial actress-host Mariel Rodriguez is taking an “indefinite leave” from ABS-CBN's new hit afternoon variety-game show "Pilipinas Win na Win."

In an interview before boarding a plane at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Tuesday, Rodriguez said she just needs time to rest.

"I'm going away. Magbabakasyon," said Rodriguez who bared she will also visit India.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go to India. I'm gonna go wherever kung saan man ako dadalhin ng paa ko," the host said.

Rodriguez said she's not sure when she will return but vowed that she will definitely be back. She asked all her friends, fans and supporters to be happy for her.

"Hindi ko alam. I really don't know. It can be a week, it can be a month, or whatever. Babalik ako, promise. Thank you so much and be happy for me," she said.

Rodriguez said she will be following her boyfriend, Robin Padilla, who is in India for the Ramadan.

Is Mariel pregnant? 

Rodriguez, who is now romantically linked to action star Robin Padilla, left the country after reports surfaced that Padilla's ex-wife, Liezl Sicangco, is mad at her and Padilla.

Her talent manager Boy Abunda belied rumors that Rodriguez is pregnant.

"Ayokong magsinungaling na siya'y nagpapahinga lamang ng 2 araw sa isang lugar, hindi. But, she's not pregnant and she's not getting married," Abunda told ABS-CBN News. "It's not speculative, it is about love,"

One of her co-hosts on Pilipinas Win Na Win does not believe she will not be returning to the show.

"Sabi ko lang sa kanya, o sige, sa ngayon, enjoy ka diyan, kung saan ka man pupunta, mag-ingat ka. Basta, come back soon," said co-host, Valerie Concepcion.

Abunda assured that Rodriguez will be respecting her showbiz commitments.

Abunda said his ward will answer all the questions about her in a tell-all interview with Bianca Gonzales that will be aired on "Entertainment Live" this Saturday.

Abunda, who had been very supportive and protective to Rodriguez, said he respects the actress-host's decision and he's just happy for Rodriguez.

"You will always have a space dito sa aming puso, sa ating industriya," Abunda said.
