'The Voice PH' teams assemble for Live Shows
MANILA -- After weeks of Blind Auditions and Battle Rounds, "The Voice of the Philippines" coaches have finally formed their crop of finalists joining the program's Live Shows.
Totaling 24 artists from four teams, the finalists will be competing in the live performance round of the hit reality talent search starting August 24.
The anticipated final leg of the ABS-CBN program will be held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City.
During the episode of "The Voice of the Philippines" aired Saturday, the four coaches are seen finalizing their respective teams by picking one last artist each in the Battle Rounds.
Team Apl, headed by The Black Eyed Peas' Allan Pineda, is composed of sidewalk vendor Cora dela Cruz, 27, from Cavite; student Jessica Reynoso, 16, from Laguna; band singer Janice Javier, 38, from Thailand; cashier Penelope Matanguihan, 21, from Batangas; voice coach Thor Dulay, 32, from Davao del Norte; and freelance singer Tristhan Perfecto, 20, from Manila.
Representing coach Lea Salonga in the Live Shows are ex-Kulay member Radha Tinsay, 36, from Paranaque; freelance singer RJ dela Fuente, 27, from California; indie music producer Darryl Shy 44, from Baguio; student Kim Mainit, 16, from Bohol; college student Diday Garcellano, 21, from Quezon City; and Draybers vocalist Mitoy Yonting, 43, from Pangasinan.
Coach Sarah Geronimo is bringing to the live rounds college student Klarisse de Guzman, 21, from Makati; ex-South Border member Maki Ricafort, 35, from Manila; housewife Eva delos Santos, 51, from Cebu; band singer Yuki Ito, 22, from Bulacan; theater actress Morissette Amon, 16, from Quezon City; and composer Junji Aranas, 36, from Makati.
Bamboo Manalac's "Kamp Kawayan," lastly, has diverse bets in music graduate Don Michael Perez, 22, from Palawan; college student Talia Reyes, 21, from Quezon City; marketing assistant Isa Fabregas, 24, also from Quezon City; student Paolo Onesa, 19, from Zamboanga; pyschology student Angelique Alcantara, 17, from Samal Island; and professional singer Lee Grane, 28, from Makati.
On August 18, Sunday, "The Voice of the Philippines" will air a special episode featuring the preparations of each team for the Live Shows.
