MANILA - Child star Zaijan Jaranilla, more popularly known as "Santino", will turn 8 years old this coming Sunday, August 23.

Jaranilla, the star of ABS-CBN's hit TV series "May Bukas Pa" will celebrate his birthday at Hong Kong Disneyland starting from August 21 to 23 with his family and ABS-CBN friends.

The child star has long dreamed of visiting the "happiest place on earth." "Excited na po ako. Matagal ko na po kasing gusto makapunta ng Disneyland. Nakikita ko po 'yun sa TV kasi at parang ang saya po doon," Zaijian told "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon."

"Gusto ko po mag-thank you sa ABS-CBN po kasi ibibigay po nila 'yung isa sa mga birthday wish ko," he added.

Aside from his trip to Disneyland, Jaranilla said he also wished to have his co-stars on "May Bukas Pa" attend his party. He also said that he wants to get more toys, specifically Hulk and Batman figures.

To make his birthday more memorable,  a children’s party will also be held on August 29, wherein 50 children will be invited to join the 'miracle boy' in festivities.

ABS-CBN interactive and the 101.9 "For Life" radio station will help choose the 50 lucky guests who will join the young actor in his fun birthday bash. Only 40 children will be chosen by the interactive group and 10 children will be selected by the radio group via contests.

Aside from making the children happy, this is also Jaranilla’s way of sharing the blessings he has been receiving. It will also be his way of showing gratitude to the avid viewers of "May Bukas Pa."

Busy boy

Jaranilla who started as product endorser at the young age of 4 is now considered as one of the most effective child stars in the history of Philippine entertainment.

He will be doing a movie project with Piolo Pascual and hopes to do a film with "King of Comedy" Dolphy Quizon.

"Siyempre po makakasama ko ang King of Comedy si Dolphy. Masaya po siyang kasama at mabait po siya," the young actor said.

Jaranilla will also be busy with "May Bukas Pa" since the show is extended until next year. He will be able to work with more stars like Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo, Kim Chium, and Gerald Anderson.

 "Siyempre po masaya kasi lahat ng mga artista mag-ge-guest sa 'May Bukas Pa.' Lahat ng artista sila ate Sarah, ate Kim at kuya Gerald," Jaranilla said.
