Denise Laurel thankful for successful comeback
MANILA, Philippines -- Her hiatus from her 15-year showbiz career proved to be brief, as actress Denise Laurel now enjoys being part of Filipino viewers daily viewing habits anew.

After starring in the 2010 series "Kristine," Laurel became the subject of speculations of being the latest mom-to-be in showbiz.
Not long after, in September 2011, Laurel admitted that she had indeed given birth to a baby boy who, she said, is now her source of motivation for working "really hard."
Since then, Laurel has managed to resume her acting career via the series "Dahil sa Pag-Ibig" and "Pintada," which she currently topbills after a string of supporting roles in a number of soaps.
"Sobrang blessed naman ako na kahit bata pa ako, tuluy-tuloy siya (career), although iniisip ng mga tao hindi ganun kaganda because I was never a lead role right away," Laurel told reporters on Wednesday during a press event of a liquor brand.
"But for me, everything was perfect because I really wanted to start from the bottom. Everything happened at the right time, God's timing, so lahat appropriate sa age ko," she added.
Last June, Laurel inked another three-year contract with ABS-CBN, for which she said she is thankful.
"Now na I'm playing roles that I do, I think it's just the right timing. And I'm so thankful, and I'm so happy na nakabalik ako, tinanggap ako ng tao, tinanggap ako ng ABS-CBN. I'm really giving it everything that I've got," she said.
