'PBB': Daniel in tears over family reunion
MANILA - "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Daniel Matsunaga was moved to tears after being reunited with his mother and sister, who are based in their home country of Brazil.
The reunion was shown in the special episode of "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," which was telecast live on Friday from inside the famous yellow house.
Daniel was the lone contestant among the last five whose family did not visit "Pinoy Big Brother" in its Thursday episode. Unknown to the 25-year-old model, his sister Vanessa and mother Geralda Maria were flown in from Brazil, but could not arrive in time for the big reunion inside the house.
Initially, Daniel thought only his pet dog would be his guest. But the Brazilian-Japanese model was surprised by Big Brother with Vanessa's entry in the confession room.
In the living room, Daniel appeared to be in disbelief when his housemates told him that his mother was waiting for him. When he finally saw Geralda, Daniel cried for the first time inside the house after more than 100 days.
The five remaining housemates, who also include Loisa Andalio, Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, and Vickie Rushton, will be trimmed down to the "Big 4" when another contestant is evicted from the house on Saturday.
The naming of the "Big Winner" will take place at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay on Sunday night, with a live telecast on ABS-CBN.
