Top 10 'PBB: All In' memorable moments
MANILA - After more than 10 seasons, the reality TV competition "Pinoy Big Brother" has had its fair share of surprises.
And this season's "All In," where a mix of celebrities and ordinary Filipinos were asked to enter the famous yellow house, proved to be no different.
Here's a look back at PBB: All In's most memorable moments.
1. Alex Gonzaga's surprise inclusion
In the first big surprise of this season, host Alex Gonzaga was named one of the housemates.
She was told by Big Brother that she needed to experience being a housemate to be an effective PBB show host. The announcement brought her sister Toni Gonzaga to tears.
But it was later revealed that she would be the only celebrity house guest, and she was asked to leave the famous yellow house a month later. She has since revisited her fellow housemates twice.
2. The 'nude painting' challenge
One of the weekly tasks of the reality competition challenged housemate Jayme Jalandoni, along with three others, to pose nude for a painting.
Despite being a devout Christian, Jalandoni accepted the challenge but backed out after hearing her father's sentiments.
It prompted the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board to summon ABS-CBN over the "alleged gender-insensitivity" in the challenge. The network has since apologized for the incident.
3. Fifth comes out as 'bisexual'
In a July episode of the show, Fifth Pagotan admitted to being a bisexual, marking the second time in the reality show's nearly 10-year run that a housemate opened up about his sexuality during his stay in the famous yellow house.
His confession topped worldwide Twitter trends, and garnered support from celebrities, including comedian Vice Ganda, fellow housemate Alex Gonzaga, among others.
4. Jane apologizes to Kathryn over 'no comment' remark
Celebrity teen housemate Jane Oineza earned the ire of the fans of Kathryn Bernardo for supposedly fueling speculation that the "Got to Believe" actress underwent cosmetic surgery.
In a July episode, Jane was showed a video of a conversation she had with the other teen housemates about Bernardo. In the clip, Jane answered 'No comment' when Loisa Andalio asked if Kathryn ever had an operation to change any of her physical features.
She later apologized to Bernardo when the latter entered the famous yellow house, and was advised by the teen star to be careful with her choice of words.
5. Maris' parents get married
In an August episode, Maris Racal was pleasantly surprised when her parents, Henry and Leony, finally exchanged vows in a wedding held inside the yellow house.
Maris, before the nuptials, shared that she had been worried about the apparent distance between her mother and father. It was revealed that Henry and Leony had not shared a room together for years, believing it was a sin for unmarried couples to raise a family.
6. Joshua's mother watches her son dance for the first time
On Mother's Day, Joshua turned emotional after recalling how he felt lonely and neglected as a child as he never had his mom by his side.
In the May 13 telecast, Joshua, who has competed overseas as part of his school's dance troupe, was tasked by Big Brother to perform "pandanggo sa ilaw" in the activity area.
Unknown to Joshua, his mother, Fe, was watching behind the one-way glass windows of the house. Moments after his performance, Joshua's mother entered the activity area and rushed to him for a hug.
7. Jeron Teng visits Jane for 18th birthday
For her 18th birthday celebrated inside the famous yellow house, Oineza was visited by her rumored suitor, Green Archer Jeron Teng. The college basketball star was the last of the surprise visitors the show prepared for the actress.
"Nakaka-flatter po na nakakatuwa. Parang mixed po lahat," a flushed Oineza told host Big Brother afterwards.
However, the visit did not sit well with everyone, as Joshua, who had been romantically linked with Oineza, was seen to be visibly jealous of the two. He admitted to feeling slightly jealous, saying he felt forgotten by the actress.
8. Joshua tells Jane: 'Mahal Kita'
Shortly after Oineza was visited by a celebrity suitor inside the yellow house for her birthday, Joshua finally confessed his romantic feelings for Jane Oineza.
He, however, explained in an interview after he was evicted that he has no plans in pursuing the celebrity housemate, saying he originally had no intentions of getting into a relationship at this time.
9. Jason clears things up with Vickie
In the August 2 telecast, actor Jason Abalos finally visited his girlfriend Vickie inside the yellow house to clear things up about their relationship.
Rushton had been wanting to talk to Abalos for some time after she received a message from her boyfriend she described as "cold." She was also worried about what Abalos was thinking about after some of the housemate teased her and Daniel Matsunaga.
"Gusto kong mag-sorry. Ang dami kong na-realize sa labas. Sobra kong nakita kung ano ako, bilang boyfriend mo, sobra kong nakita ikaw bilang girlfriend ko, ang dami kong pagkukulang. Ito na 'yung simula para makabawi ako sa'yo, kung gusto mo pa," Abalos said.
10. Daniel moved to tears after reuniting with mom
Celebrity housemate Daniel Matsunaga was moved to tears after being reunited with his mother and sister, who are based in their home country of Brazil.
He appeared to be in disbelief when his housemates told him that his mother was waiting for him. When he finally saw Geralda, Daniel cried for the first in the house after more than 100 days inside.
