MANILA – Contestants from Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Kosovo, Australia and Puerto Rico have made it to the top 5 in the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant.

Last year's Miss Universe winner, Dayana Mendoza, is also from Venezuela.

The 58th Miss Universe pageant is being held at the Atlantis Resort Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

The top 5 are:

Venezuela – Stefania Fernandez
Dominican Republic – Ada Aimee De la Cruz
Kosovo – Gona Dragusha
Australia – Rachael Finch
Puerto Rico – Mayra Matos Perez

The main event is hosted by Celebrity Apprentice star Claudia Jordan and Access Hollywood co-anchor Billy Bush, and includes performances by rapper Flo Rida, singers David Guetta and Kelly Rowland and reality star Heidi Montag.
