MANILA – Ms. Philippines Pamela Bianca Manalo failed to make the Top 15 in the 2009 Miss Universe Pageant. There were no Asian candidates in the Top 15.

The 58th Miss Universe pageant is being held at the Atlantis Resort Paradise Island in the Bahamas.

The main event is hosted by Celebrity Apprentice star Claudia Jordan and Access Hollywood co-anchor Billy Bush, and includes performances by rapper Flo Rida, singers David Guetta and Kelly Rowland and reality star Heidi Montag.

The winner will spend a year holding the title, traveling to events and fundraisers, and promoting products and charity work.
