The beauty queens did not waste time as they immediately went through photo shoots and dress rehearsals for the pageant.

Supsup’s roommate in the hotel is Miss Korea.

All candidates have come prepared for the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world.

“Yesterday, I had my gown, swimsuit, close-up photo and my other shots. Tomorrow, yung lahat ng voice-overs, lahat ng registration. Sa Friday pa ang mga official events,” said Supsup.

Supsup said she is is determined to give it her best and use everything she learned in training in her bid to win the contest. She also offers her efforts to God.

The 25-year-old beauty is thankful to all those who have picked her in this year's online voting. The candidate with the most number of average votes will automatically enter the pageant’s semi-finals.

Meanwhile, Supsup’s mother, Marcey, is also getting ready to leave for Brazil along with a few friends to support her daughter.

Marcey is taking along a few items requested by her daughter.

“Nag-BBM [Blackberry Messenger] siya, sabi niya ‘I need more eyelashes. [Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. head Stella Marquez-Araneta] wanted me to bring more cocktail dresses for her,” Marcey shared.

She said she is very proud of her daughter, who graduated magna cum laude at the University of the Philippines and went on to top the architectural board exam.

She toured the ABS-CBN News team around their home, which is the first design by her daughter.

Marcey said she is confident her daughter will do all she can to make the Philippines shine in this year’s pageant.
