Philippine bet in Mrs. U 2010 wins special award
MANILA, Philippines- Another Filipino beauty titlist has brought pride to the country.
Mrs. Philippines-Universe Maria Muriel Moral, 46, from Camarines Norte bagged the Mrs. Intelligence Award during the coronation night of Mrs. Universe 2010 held at the Great Courtyard in Vilnius, Lithuania on Saturday.
The smart and gorgeous mother of two competed against 25 beauty queens from all over the world.
Mrs. Jennika Hannussari from Finland was crowned Mrs. Universe 2010.
Mrs. Dominican Republic Nileny Dippton, Mrs. Greece Diana Pothitou, Mrs. Venezuela Yesenia Rodriguez and Mrs. Armenia Alla Grigoryan were proclaimed 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th runners-up, respectively.
A set of special awards was given to the deserving glam contenders.
Mrs. Netherlands Elvira Figaroa won Mrs. Friendship Award, while Mrs. Cyprus Maria Zouvana clinched the Mrs. Photogenic title. Representative from the host country, Mrs. Baltic Coast-Lithuania Jurgita Jankauskaite, bagged the Best in Gown Award.
Prior to Mrs. Universe pageant, Moral has joined other international beauty pageants. She joined the 1988 Miss Maja International Pageant where she won the Miss Maja Simpatica Award and Best in National Costume Award.
She is scheduled to come home on Thursday morning.
Mrs. Universe promotes and celebrates the image of women who play important roles in today’s society.

No any beauty competition / pageant in world record and history has ever awarded this title. It’s the very first time in the universe!
The Philippines Press and Media is not that keen in news reporting that they did not notice this "first-time fact" and the misspelled MRS. "INTELEGENCE" TITLE of MARIA MURIEL MORAL-PANDI. They should also highlight this "amusing error or mistake" in spelling done in "Lithuanian English" just like the "major, major answer" of Miss Universe 4th Runner-up Placer MARIA VENUS RAJ. :)
MEDIA PEOPLE SHOULD BE IMPARTIAL AND SHOULD SUPPORT MARIA MURIEL MORAL, TOO WITH MUCH-GIVEN PUBLICITY OR HYPING JUST LIKE WHAT THEY DO TO VENUS (MURIEL DESERVES RECOGNITION, TOO!)
