Mariel to undergo operation to remove cyst
MANILA, Philippines (UPDATE) - "Pilipinas Win na Win" co-host Mariel Rodriguez will undergo an operation to remove a cyst in her ovary.
In an interview, Mariel said she had known for some time that there was a cyst in her ovary. "It's benign, it's not cancerous, but I still need to have it removed," she said.
Despite the news, Rodriguez admits she has never been happier as her lovelife with current boyfriend, action star Robin Padilla, is blossoming.
"I have never been this happy. I really am contented with life. Hindi ko alam na pwede pa lang maging ganito kasaya," she said.
Mariel is set to reveal all in an exclusive interview with showbiz talkshow E-Live on Saturday. She is expected to address rumors that she and Padilla got married in India.
Mariel's "Pilipinas Win na Win" co-host, Kris Aquino, earlier said Rodriguez will be needing two weeks to recover fully from the operation.
She also gave the following words of advice to Rodriguez:
"Hindi biro na iniwanan niya ang trabaho niya. Sinundan niya ang puso niyo. Bilang kaibigan at bilang ate niya, mamahalin mo na lang at ipagdarasal mo na pang habambuhay ang kaligayahan," she said.
