Report: Sandara, 'Jun Pyo' collaborate in a beer commercial
MANILA - Good news to all “2NE1” and “Boys Over Flowers (BOF)” fans out there.
According to a Korean celebrity Web site, Sandara Park, or Dara Park, and Lee Min-ho, or more popularly known as Goo Jun Pyo, shot a commercial together in South Korea for an alcoholic beverage called Cass 2X.
One of the scenes saw Lee emerging from his red Ferrari amid boisterous young people who were watching a concert, the Web site said. He was looking for Park and, upon spotting her in the crowd, he then made his way toward her. At least 200 extras were said to be part of the commercial.
Quoting an unnamed beer maker executive, the Web site said the company chose the two, who are considered to be Korea’s biggest stars, because their “trendy image matches perfectly with the image of our Cass beer.”
The executive said the commercial targets younger generation and “this CF (commercial film) will start a new trend."
Park, or known as Pambansang Krung Krung ng Pilipinas, began her show business career in the Philippines by joining defunct ABS-CBN talent search “Star Circle Quest.” She was named first runner-up and then went on to appear in various films and television shows.
Her acting career here, however, failed to take off. She then decided to return to South Korea to try her luck there. She is now one of the vocal members of popular Korean Girl Group “2NE1.”
Lee, on the other hand, is a South Korean actor who became popular in the Philippines after ABS-CBN aired the popular BOF.
BOF is the Korean adaptation of the popular manga series, Hana Yori Dango.
