MANILA - Actress Gretchen Barretto’s wish has finally come true.

Gretchen announced that actor Derek Ramsay will be part of her upcoming television series on ABS-CBN.

In her latest television project, Gretchen will also work with younger sister Claudine Barretto and veteran actor Christopher de Leon.

An excited Gretchen said the cast will begin taping in a few weeks.

"I'm not ready yet to tell the story or the details of the story kasi magkakaroon kami ng press conference. Kailangan kami ni Claudine ang maga-announce together, with the bosses of ABS-CBN," Gretchen said.

In her previous interview, Gretchen disclosed that she wanted Ramsay to become her leading man.

"I like to work with him. He doesn’t look so young. Ayoko ng masyadong young ang leading man ko,” Gretchen said.

When sought for reaction, Ramsay said it would be an honor to be Gretchen’s on-screen partner.

Gretchen’s last TV project was "Maalaala Mo Kaya."
