MANILA, Philippines - Singer-dancer Gabriel "Gab" Valenciano finally admitted his relationship with actress Isabel Oli.
In an interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com during a press conference for "With Love" on Wednesday, Valenciano said he and Oli have been going steady for 2 months now.
"With Love" is the newest album of Valenciano's father, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano.
"I am committed to her. And I'm sure kapag committed ang isang tao, 'yung isang tao ay committed din," he said.
Valenciano shared that he met Oli through common friends in show business. Last June, the singer-dancer said he and Oli are in a "getting to know each other" stage.
"This one was actually [dahil] sa work, kasi artista siya at mga kaibigan niya ay artista din. Dati ko pa siyang crush, ever since I was in high school. Kaya ang tawag ko 'love at first billboard' kasi 'yung first billboard niya, noong nakita ko 'yon...kasi that time I was only 17, she's a face na talagang tinitignan ko lang," he said.
"Hindi lang siya beautiful face. She's beautiful inside and out...Kapag nakita mo siya sa TV, iba talaga kapag sa personal na, she's quiet and she's not artistahin ang dating. 'Yun talaga, 'yung na this girl is worth it talaga."
Valenciano said his romance with Oli is something that he is really proud of.
"I think amongst all the guys she dated or amongst all the girls that I dated, I think we can both say that this is the most sincere and most genuine relationship that I've been in," he said.
"I'm so excited to go through this adventure kasi alam mo na. Siyempre may times na you fail but you know how to fix yourself up. Hindi na parang dati na bagsak ka lang nang bagsak tapos bahala na, break na kayo. Now let's work this out, if 'yung strength mo ay weakness ko then you will help me. If 'yung weakness mo strength ko, then I'll help you," he added.
Valenciano said he and Oli are spending more time with the latter's father, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Oli was previously linked to basketball player James Yap, the estranged husband of television host Kris Aquino. Both Oli and Yap have maintained that they are just friends.
