MANILA - Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez and singer-composer Ogie Alcasid did not get hitched in secret.

During the launching of her latest perfume endorsement, Velasquez said there was no truth to rumor that the two of them were already married. The singer admitted that they are contemplating of settling down but not in the near future.

“Oo, siyempre lagi naman 'yon. We are always praying for that [pero] hanggang doon na lang muna,” she told "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon."

As of now, the singer said their plan is to attend the wedding of Alcasid’s former wife, Michelle van Eimeren, in Australia.

Velasquez and Alcasid have been asked by van Eimeren to sing in her wedding. The Australian is set to wed fiancé Mark Murrow in November.

Alcasid and van Eimeren met during the 1994 Miss Universe pageant where she was a contestant. They got married in 1998 and have two daughters. The two announced the end of their marriage in 2007, but they reportedly remain friends. -abs-cbnNEWS.com
