MANILA – Supporters of Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III should not pressure him to make up his mind now with regard to his plan in 2010 elections, his youngest sister, Kris, pleaded.

All eyes are now on Noynoy after Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, his fellow Liberal Party member, gave up his plan to run for president to support Noynoy’s supposed presidential bid. Noynoy, however, has yet to make a public pronouncement about it.

For Kris, his supporters should give him enough time to think hard before coming out with a decision.

"Don't pressure him. He's also getting pressure from his sisters as it is," Kris said.

She also pointed out that Noynoy and their family are still grieving over the death of their mom, former president Corazon Aquino.

According to Kris, Noynoy will go on a retreat, along with their family’s closest adviser, in a Carmelite convent in Zamboanga starting Thursday to contemplate.

Kris assured that her brother will have her support whether he decides to run for president or not next year.
