MANILA, Philippines - "Pinoy Dream Academy" season star dreamer and scholar Van Roxas laughed off reports saying that he's courting young actress Kim Chiu.

The two became closer while taping ABS-CBN's mini series, "Your Song Presents: Maling Akala," which was Chiu and Van's first TV project together.

In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon", Roxas said the reports are baseless stressing that he and Chiu are just "good friends."

He even added that he was clueless as to where the reports came from.

"'Di ko po alam saan nanggaling 'yan. Pero Kim and I are good friends. We get along well sa set, kasi pareho kami, mga Bisaya, at mabait po siya sa akin," Roxas said.

It has been reported that Roxas was handpicked for his role in "Maling Akala" after his studies in Clinical Nursing Assistance in the United States.

He just returned to Manila to take advantage of opportunities in showbiz offered to him, which included the said series.

Roxas is now being linked to Chiu after reports came out that the actress already broke up with long-time reel and real partner, actor Gerald Anderson.
