Vic thanks Kris for allowing Bimby to do movie
MANILA -- Comedian Vic Sotto thanked actress-hsot Kris Aquino for allowing her youngest son, James "Bimby" Yap Jr., to be part of the upcoming movie "My Little Bossings."
"We also like to thank you for entrusting Bimby to us," Sotto told Aquino on the Tuesday episode of the morning show "KrisTV."
Sotto said he is really excited to work with Yap and child actress Ryzza Mae Dizon on the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry.
"I'm excited that this is a different thing for me but I'm more excited for the kids eh," he said. "Si Ryzza naman kahit saan mo itapon 'yon, okay naman 'yon. She's very excited to meet Bimby."
According to Aquino, "My Little Bossings" is different from Sotto's "Enteng Kabisote" series of fantasy-comedy films for the annual MMFF.
"This is back to basic, heartwarming (movie) na tungkol sa pamilya. I think ang anyo at kasarian ng pamilya sa Pilipinas ay ibang iba na ngayon and I think it's acceptance of who you are and what you are," said Aquino, who is also one of the producers of her son's debut movie.
"Ako na-excite kasi totoo naman he (Bimby) will be just playing himself kaya di ako nahirapan. When Bibeth (Orteza) sent the script, sabi ko this won't be a problem for my son because the character is written as him. Feeling ko kailangan ko siyang imulat sa kung ano ang mundo and I think itong movie na ito, Ryzza will be the perfect guide to see (the real world)," she added.
