One of primetime television's biggest series, the Asianovela "Kahit Isang Saglit", will finally make its mark in the Philippines as it pays tribute to the late movie and TV director Gilbert "Manong Perez."

The series will be remembered as Perez's last legacy. The series' original title was "A Time For Us" but the sudden death of "direk" Gilbert made ABS-CBN management decide to make its title after his first film directorial tribute -- "Kahit Isang Saglit."

The cast had only praises for the late, great director.

"There's Manong Gilbert, the loving sweet and compassionate director, very artistic and very brilliant," says actor Jericho Rosales, who is the main character of series.

"Ako proud ako na nakasama ko siya ulit, I'm sad but proud," said Albert Martinez, who will play a very special role in the series.

"He is perfectionist and he just want to do his best in everything that he does, I learned from that," Malaysian actress Carmen Soo said.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN is all set for the coming of one of the region's biggest Asianovela. The series will sure reign over the airwaves of primetime television starting this September 15, Monday.

For the first time, ABS-CBN collaborates with a foreign production outfit, Double Vision Malaysia, in bringing together Asian heartthrob Rosales and one of the brightest young superstars in Malaysian TV and in the Asian modelling circuit -- Soo -- in one big Kapamilya project.

The series was first directed by the late “Manong” and is now under director Jerry Sineneng.

In the series, Rosales and Soo play star-crossed lovers in this one of a kind story that transcends culture, class and the odds in between. Rosale’s character is in pursuit of justice for his father’s death while Soo is in search of her long-lost father.
In their search, they found each other.

It's a tale of two people with different cultural roots and social status as they defy all odds in the name of love.

Also in the powerhouse cast are veteran actors Empoy,  Dick Israel and Christopher De leon.

Actresses Cristine Reyes, Malou de Guzman, Isabel Rivas, Wilma Doesnt and Malaysian stars Louisa Chong, Soosan Hoh and Awal Ashaari also co-star.
