Kris to Noynoy: I'll lay off your love life
MANILA - Celebrity host Kris Aquino-Yap has promised to stop meddling in the love life of her brother, Senator Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.
"As far as your love life is concerned, I promise you Noy, privately and publicly, hindi na ako makikiaalam," Kris announced Thursday night over ABS-CBN's entertainment show "SNN:Showbiz News Ngayon."
The celebrity host made the assurance a day after she asked Noynoy to "stay single" so as not to "complicate" his life.
In an episode of SNN aired on Wednesday, Aquino-Yap repeatedly told viewers about her wish that her brother remain a bachelor, especially as he is mulling over the question of whether to run for President in 2010.
"I told him and I'm saying it now, sabi ko, 'I only have one request. Whatever it is that you decide, please stay single.' Naloka si Noy. Sinabi ni Noy, 'Talagang OK, pinasok pa 'yon.' Sabi ko: 'No, I just really feel that you have enough decisions to make right now. I wish you wouldn't complicate life even further.' And sabi ni Noy, 'Ayaw mo talaga akong tantanan diyan,'" she said.
The host later promised to keep her mouth shut on matters concerning her brother and his girlfriend, Valenzuela City 2nd District Councilor Shalani "Lani" Soledad.
Aquino-Yap said she and her elder sisters - Ballsy, Pinky, and Viel - will respect their brother's decisions on matters of the heart.
However, she said she will become a "monster-in-law" if Sen. Aquino's future wife or girlfriend will fail to love or care for him.
"Dapat ang babaeng iyon mamahalin ka, magiging tapat sa iyo at aalagaan ka [That girl should love you, be true to you, and care for you]," Aquino-Yap said.
The Senator's youngest sister also asked him to pray for her so "that [she will] be able to keep quiet."
Sen. Aquino is currently on a spiritual retreat at the monastery of Our Lady of Carmel in Zamboanga City, where he is seeking guidance and "discernment" on whether or not he should run for President in 2010.
The senator is seeking advice from Sr. Agnes Guillien, a spiritual adviser and friend of his late mother, former President Corazon Aquino.

Kris proceeded by saying that she prefers Boy Abunda to be his running mate in this upcoming presidential elections.

Kris is so immature
The family of Kris Aquino should really be concerned about Kris Aquino's obvious immaturity. If they are really concerned about "disgracing" the great legacy and name of our heroes Sen. Benigno and Pres. Cory, they better counsel Kris.
She cannot keep her mouth shut even regarding sensitive family issues. She is so self-centered, expressing the good things she is doing and yet always flaunting them.
She has no decency and no respect whatsoever. Imagine telling everyone how much she is paying for the family house and her plan to pay for Noynoy's house.
Her strong statement of preference about Noynoy not getting married is a direct attack on marriage (which obviously she has no clue what true Christian marriage is) and attack on Noynoy's girlfriend.
The family should send Kris to a retreat... "silent retreat".
If she is not controlled - she will cause Noynoy's and the Aquino's downfall... You can bet on it. She is really a rotten spoiled brat.
