MANILA, Philippines - The country’s finest actors and actresses will set aside scripts and dialogues for a while to walk on the red carpet of the 4th Annual Star Magic Ball on Sunday.

Everything is all set for the black, white, grey and silver themed party that will be attended by some 300 artists and guests at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.
Everybody is excited for the gathering of the glamorous stars who will set fashion and style trends by wearing elegant designer gowns and formal suits.

Can Someone Please Explain the Point of this Show?
So the stars get all dress up, ABS spends millions to run the event and what?
Here is a suggestion to the management of ABS-CBN. Have the gowns worn by the stars be donated to an auction to support some kind of an organization, such as your Bantay Bata Foundation. I am sure that the designers and artists are more than happy to donate the gowns (which I am sure will never be worn again) where it can make some kind of a difference to thousands of lives.
Turn a self-centered, frivolous, and useless event into a charitable occasion.
Proof?
Anny proof that they did what you're accusing them of? I'm not saying you're wrong with what you're saying (using every opportunity to be charitable is always a good thing), but to make any baseless accusations would be unjust and unfair, no matter how rich or better off the people you accuse are. Also, why would celebrating another year of success/brilliance/whatever be a useless thing to them? If they all worked hard to get to where they are, what's so wrong about taking a night to celebrate that, provided they have a right to use their money the way they want to in a capitalist society? It's not as if they poured all the company's budget into this event. Certainly, there should be millions of pesos left from their revenue they can use for charity.
