MANILA, Philippines – Sweethearts Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla spent a trouble-free week in Hong Kong after the August 23 Manila hostage drama which killed 8 Hong Kong tourists.

In the second part of her exclusive interview with E-Live on Saturday, Rodriguez said they did not encounter any problem during their stay there, adding the Hong Kong people were warm.

Rodriguez and Padilla, who brought two of his kids with them to Hong Kong, arrived in Manila Tuesday night from a week-long vacation in the former Crown colony.

"Masaya at mabuti ang pagtanggap ng mga tao sa Hong Kong," Rodriguez said.

She also revealed she spent some time shopping with Padilla's daughter, Kylie, while Padilla bonded with his youngest son, Ali.

Successful operation

As earlier reported, Rodriguez had an operation to remove a cyst in her ovary.

She was admitted at the Asian Hospital and Medical Center Wednesday (September 1) night while her boyfriend was with Ali in Bicol.

However, Padilla arrived at the hospital before the operation started on Thursday to help take care of Rodriguez and show support.

Rodriguez’s doctor confirmed the removal of the cyst went well.
