MANILA – After her wedding in Balesin was bumped off by newly engaged couple Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero and actress Heart Evangelista, TV host Cesca Litton said she will definitely not tie the knot in the exclusive island resort in Quezon province.

Litton made the statement on her Facebook page on Wednesday, after thanking her followers for their support following the wedding fiasco.

“Guys, thank you for all the support, comments and suggestions, but I can no longer speak on the issue as it is my future in-laws who are members in Balesin, and they will be handling the situation,” she said.

“But I will say, my wedding will definitely not be held in Balesin,” she added. “I know God has a beautiful venue for me somewhere out there. God bless you all.”

On Tuesday’s episode of the ABS-CBN show “Aquino and Abunda Tonight”, Litton confirmed through a statement that her planned wedding in Balesin was the subject of a viral Facebook post criticizing the resort for supposedly prioritizing “a celebrity-politician couple" who wanted their wedding on the same day.

Litton, who got engaged to Tyke Kalaw in April, said they made trips to Balesin as early as May. At the time, she said the resort’s management confirmed that February 14, 2015 was available to accommodate the wedding.

However, over the weekend, Litton said she was informed that Balesin could no longer accommodate the wedding on that date.

“It came as a surprise when I received a phone call from my coordinator just last Saturday that Chiz and Heart had been approved for February 14 after they had spoken to the owner, Mr. Ongpin, to reserve the date,” she said, referring to businessman Roberto Ongpin, chairman of Balesin developer Alphaland.

Evangelista and Escudero earlier denied any involvement in the “bumping off” of a planned wedding in Balesin.

On Thursday, Escudero told The Philippine Star newspaper that he and Evangelista will have an “intimate” wedding in Balesin with 100 guests on February 15, 2015, and a bigger reception in Manila the next day.
