Korean superstar Rain snubs own presscon
MANILA, Philippines – Korean superstar Jung Ji-Hoon, or simply Rain to his fans, failed to show up in his own press conference at the Manila Hotel on Monday.
The press conference was organized for Rain’s one-night only concert, dubbed “Intensity,” but the pop singer was a no-show. His concert will be held on September 11 at the open grounds of SM Mall of Asia.
The event organizers cancelled it at the last minute, leaving the expectant press and fans with nothing.
According to the spokesperson of Rain’s Korean management, what happened was a miscommunication between them and the organizers. They explained that all the while they thought the press conference would be on Thursday.
“There’s a misunderstanding, it is supposed to be September 9...not September 6. The interpreter got it wrong,” Rain’s team told the press.

However, according to some sources, Rain was seen swimming at the hotel’s pool as his representatives were making their team’s statement.
The press conference was moved to September 9.
On Saturday, Rain will be joined by the K-Pop group U-Kiss, who have performed in the country twice already. Filipino romantic balladeer Christian Bautista is also scheduled to perform in the concert.
Carlo Orosa, Baustista’s manager, said the concert is special for Rain since this will be his last before he enters Korean Military Service as it is compulsory for male Korean citizens.
Prices of the concert tickets are P500, P1,500, P3,000 and P4,500.
