MANILA, Philippines - Actor-singer Sam Milby reacted to criticisms that he lacks chemistry with his newest on-screen partner, Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.

Milby and Geronimo are paired for the first time in musical-drama series “Idol.”

During the launching of his newest endorsement, Tupperware, Milby expressed surprised by the negative feedbacks.

He, however, said it is still too early to say that his partnership with Geronimo won't work. He added that he will try his best to have a good camaraderie with Geronimo and change the minds of the “Idol” viewers.

"Well, I think it's early naman. Sana I will be able to change their minds, you know as the show goes on," Milby said.

Despite the criticisms, Milby is still proud and happy that a lot of people love their new show.

Milby also extended his appreciation to all those who watched the show's pilot episode on Monday.

"I'm very happy sa magandang feedback sa mga nanood ng pilot episode. So thank you so much and keep watching," Milby said.

Goodbye ‘Impostor’

Meanwhile, Milby, one of the most bankable stars of his generation, said he will miss his afternoon TV program, “Impostor,” which is now on its last 2 weeks.

He said he will miss the show’s staff and crew the most.

"Pareho kami [ni Maja Salvador]. Nakaka-miss ang taping namin at naging family talaga kami. We are really thankful sa lahat ng sumuporta sa teleserye namin. So huwag po kayong bibitiw," Milby said.

After "Impostor," Milby will focus on "Idol." His co-star, Salvador, meanwhile, will finish doing the TV remake of "Inday, Inday sa Balitaw," the 1986 hit movie of Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.

"Nakapag-taping na ako ng ‘Inday sa Balitaw’…. Na-excite ako ng ginagawa 'yon kasi kay Maricel Soriano po 'yon tapos may pagka-comedy pa. So, sana maganda ang kalabasan," Salvador said. -Report by Reyma Buan-Deveza, abs-cbnNEWS.com
