Willie's Lake Tahoe show stopped by US authorities
MANILA – The “Wowowee” show at the Harrah's and Harvey's Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena in Nevada, United States last September 6 was stopped by the American fire officials, prompting Willie Revillame and his co-hosts to apologize to thousands of people who came to watch them perform, an entertainment show reported Tuesday night.
Quoting a report by Bev Llorente of ABS-CBN North America News Bureau, "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon" said the fire department in Lake Tahoe ordered the staff of “Wowowee” to immediately end the show due to its fireworks.
The report said the authorities were concerned that the fireworks could pose a danger to the crowd who trooped to the 7,000-capacity arena.
Revillame said: "We have to stop the show because of the fireworks. Baka nga naman may tamaan ng apoy. We have to follow the rules here in Lake Tahoe. Maganda naman iyon at disiplinado ang lahat. Salamat sa lahat ng pumunta [at] sa lahat who spent time with us. Walang kapantay na kaligayahan iyon.”
Co-host Mariel Rodriguez added: “We’re very grateful. We’re really sorry that we weren’t able to finish the show. Thank you so much for the acceptance.”
Due to this development, guests Charice and Anne Curtis were not able to finish their songs.
Charice's mom, Racquel Pempengco, told abs-cbnNEWS.com that her daughter was scheduled to do a medley of the theme songs of ABS-CBN's television series "Kambal sa Uma” and "Tayong Dalawa" as well as her international single "Note To God."
But Charice was able to perform Whitney Houston's "Run to You" only, according to Racquel.
"Kumanta na lang siya ng kapiraso na ‘Run To You’ kasi siya ang finale," she said, adding:

j_chick: I guess it's not surprising to encounter attitudes such as yours. "Leave the man alone, he's funny, so what if he degrades and disrespects those who are willing to take it? He's not doing it to you! Just don't watch his show!" Yes, indeed, a very common "who cares attitude" as long as it's at someone else' expense. So, if you're walking down the street and sees a bunch of kids laughing at one kid because of what a bully is doing to him, according to j_chick: "Leave the bully alone! He's making the others laugh! Just turn your head the other way! You don't have to watch!! The world could use more bullies like him!"
So, I say, with full sarcasm: Good answer to an issue, j_chick! Good answer! With you around, the poor and unfortunate and those taken advantaged of... will remain poor, unfortunate, and taken advantage of. I bet you will never lift a finger to help as long as you are not the one being made fun of. Great job at being a good citizen! If someone sees you on the streets of New York getting mugged, I wonder what you would want them to do? You see, j_chick, the same principle applies. Sometimes, you have to stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves. If you have the power to go on-line and put your 2 cents in, then you do it. Not to be a hater but to be heard. Get it?

Sorry, if you are not one of them, nagtaka lng kasi ako dahil pwede naming iwasan ang ayaw mapanood sa tfc (forward ko lang). Pag live naman sa ANC ako nanonood. So, laging live ang tfc nyo? Hindi pala pareho lahat ng lugar.
Nagpapatawa lng gaya ni Pokwang at Ganda. Minsan mainit ang ulo sa kasamahan at yan ay sa tingin ko nakikita rin ng management. Sa pagod at sakit ni Wil asahan mong iinit ang ulo pag may mali pero pwede namang ipaalam sa ABS para ma correct at sa tingin ko alam na nila yan sa dami ng nega comments dito. Kaya panahon na para alisin ang inis at antayin ang pagbabalik...magbago ba o hindi...dahil maganda talaga ang pakiramdam pag relax ka lang at walang galit sa dibdib, iwas pa sa sakit.

Leave the guy alone, there are too many people posting too many complaints..waahh-waahh-waahh...if you don't like him then don't watch his show! He entertains a lot of people so deal with it if they want to go see him. I'm not really a fan of Willie, I could care less, but it seems to me that he makes many people laugh so that's good, we need more people like him in this world. So for all those haters out there...oh well :(
WOWOWEE STAFF LAKE TAHOE...
we were the make-up artist in that show and yet we treated really bad... the producers said we can eat since there were food that were catered.. when the food was already ready we went to eat but the person said we needed a food stub.. we asked Elaine , she said ask Pia i looked for Pia and finally saw her and she said wala na raw , hindi siya ang incharge..spoke with Melvin tinuro naman si Pia..WOW...we are human you know we work and get hungry and Yet none can help us...then Pia said may catering pa raw na dadating ?? well hindi kami naghihintay ng catering na dadating dahil naka handa na ang food we needed food stub... yung mga pagkain na pina-cater ng producers mga friends nila ang kumain..Anne curtis did not eat that, Moreso Mariel lalo na si Pokwang she ate noodles...isa Lang ang masasabi namin..WILLIE AND THE PRODUCERS...PLEASE LANG TURUAN NIYO ANG MGA STAFF NIYO NA HINDI MAGING MAYABANG AT BASTOS BECAUSE THIS WILL REFLECT ON YOU...SI Rackie lang at Ann ang mabait na staff sa tutuoo lang... bru, It's sad to sad to say, but the answer is not as easy as "huwag manood". TFC subscribers like us pay our monthly premiums para makapanood kami ng Filipino shows that will make us feel closer and up-to-date with the Philippines and the Flipino people. Logically, we expect good quality shows for our money. The TFC channel that we watch is overloaded with Wowowee shows during early morning hours, during the day, and at night. No matter what our daily work schedule is, we can't help but run into one Wowowee show. I have to admit, the show is entertaining due to the various levels of people that we get to watch. Willie does have the talent of drawing people in, specially those who are blinded by his fame and fortune. But being a famous host should not give a person license to degrade and disrespect any person who happens to be in his line of target. Hindi na nya kailangang bastusin ang mga contestants, mga co-hosts, or mga staff nya. Pinagtatawanan nya ang mga taong hindi marunong mag-English, pero siya naman, pa-slang slang pa kunwari, mali-mali naman! "Shattle"??? Someone tell him, please, Seattle is pronounced as See-a-tl, not shattle!! "How yu du-in?" Goodness, Willie, mag-Tagalog ka na lang, mas maganda pang pakinggan! What Willie needs is the finesse that we expect to see from someone who receives such great visibility in public. When one is in the public eye as much as he is, one has the responsibility of being a good role model. Why? Because it's the responsible thing to do! Do you get that? Just because we want to hold him to a standard fitting a public figure doesn't mean we are haters, we just demand respect for all, including those who are unfortunate and uneducated. That shouldn't be too much to ask.
And chuenrique, kung ang wowowee ay hindi para sa mga "pilipino sa tate", then pakisabi sa show, tigilan ang pakikiusap para sa aming support and patronage. Bakit, sa palagay mo, dinadala nila ang show dito kung para lang naman pala sa inyo? Napaka-bobo naman yatang comment 'yon? Alam mo ba kung anong contribution namin sa economy ng Pilipinas? Baka kailangan mong mag-aral bago ka magsalita.
