MANILA, Philippines - Actor Coco Martin said he is not yet sure if he will be singing on ABS-CBN's newest series, “Idol."

In an interview, Martin, who's known for his acting prowess, said there were talks that he will also do singing scenes for the series but there’s nothing final yet.

"'Yong sa mismong sa 'Idol' pinaplano nila na baka kumanta pero hindi pa namin shino-shoot so baka, sana," Martin said.

Dubbed as the Prince of Indie, Martin said he's happy with his new project especially since he's working with Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo and Sam Milby, whom he described as his new family.

"Sobrang okay. Sabi ko nga, para kaming magkakapatid dito. Masaya pati ang direktor at ang mga bagong artista. Lahat kami nagtutulungan at propesyonal talaga," he said.

Martin also reacted to reports saying he and Geronimo are a better pair than Geronimo and Milby.

"Nakakatuwa lang. Siguro nakikita nila ang rapport pero sa akin, trabaho, at para sa akin, lahat pantay-pantay lang," Martin said.

On Monday, ABS-CBN aired the pilot episode of "Idol."

Directed by Ruel Santos Bayani and Jojo Saguin, “Idol” also stars veteran singers Agot Isidro, Robert Seña and Zsa Zsa Padilla.
